GuardianLight
The GuardianLight is a tool to help officers protect themselves from harmful intent. Royce L. Brooks developed this product to help protect fellow officers. As most people know police officers are faced with dangerous situations constantly. The GuardianLight protects officers by cloaking them in a shield of darkness when walking back to their vehicle. Just a press of a button attached to their belt and the headlights dim long enough for the officer to safely get back in their vehicle.

Law enforcement officers are commonly faced with a very dangerous situation. In fact, it happens so often that it becomes routine, and we all know that routine stops can become an officers' nightmare. During the officers' after dark car stops, they are regularly placing themselves in a perilous and compromising position.
Upon completing the after dark car stop the officer, whom is silhouetted in their patrol car's headlights, must turn to walk back to the patrol car, taking four to five seconds. At this time the officer is blinded by their own headlights and has their backs turned to the offender's vehicle. The officer has now silhouetted themselves into a perfect target. This situation offers potential assailants a well lit, easy target with deadly results.
Here is a simple solution to the problem: If the officer had a remote wireless switch on their belt that would instantly turn off the patrol car's headlights for 4 to 5 seconds, the otherwise vulnerable officer would no longer be silhouetted nor blinded during the walk back. This allows the officer time to safely get back to their patrol car concealed from the potential assailants. Designed in this device, only the headlights would shut off, automatically switching back on after 4 - 5 seconds.
